Cross Country Wireless Ltd offer an independent consultancy service on radio interference problems for wireless network operators, business users and private individuals.

We have a wide experience of detecting radio interference sources and providing solutions for wireless broadband, GSM and Tetra networks. We also advise on the future development of wireless broadband systems in interference limited urban environments.

We are equipped with a wide range of equipment for this work including HP and Tektronix spectrum analyzers, signal generators, wide-band antennas, telescopic masts and other equipment.

In addition our CCW Radio Survey Tool can be used to measure the RF signal levels from nearby radio transmitters inside and outside houses and buildings.

We have found that interference problems can be experienced on domestic entertainment equipment when located in close proximity to powerful mobile radio, cellular radio, amateur radio or CB transmitters. The transmitting stations are usually operating within the parameters of their licence and almost all interference problems of this nature are caused by inferior design of the RF receiver sections of the domestic equipment.

As a result we have developed a range of low cost antenna filters designed to fit in series with the antenna feeder cable of a domestic television or FM radio receiver to attenuate Wi-fi broadband wireless, GSM900, GSM1800 cellular or TETRA transmissions from nearby transmitters without affecting TV or FM radio reception.
